APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN!

The Fisheries Research & Development Corporation (FRDC) is offering a unique Graduate Research Training (GRT) Program to establish the next generation of fisheries economists.  The University of Tasmania, the University of Adelaide, the Queensland University of Technology and the CSIRO Wealth from Oceans Flagship are partners in the Program.

Full scholarship stipends are available to high quality students with a background in economics who undertake Masters or PhD research in one of the four GRT theme areas:
1. Resource Allocation in Fisheries
2. Fisheries Management and Governance Systems,
3. Integrated Assessment and Decision-support Tools
4. Productivity and Market Analysis
Students will need to enroll at one of the three partner universities.  Students will have access to supervision teams with expertise in economics and other disciplines as required, as well as a range of specialised fisheries economics courses.
